The company you keep…

This last month, we partnered with two organizations that we've worked with regularly, and we want to introduce you to two incredible women we've met in our journeys - people whose lives and work embody the hope we seek to amplify every day: Brittany Stout and Vicki Axsom.

In 2018, Brittany Stout lost her brother, Dakota, to a fentanyl overdose. Out of that devastating loss, she made a decision that would change countless lives. Brittany founded Safe Haven Recovery Engagement Center in Paoli, Indiana, and eventually left her career as a Nurse Practitioner to lead the organization full-time.

Today, Safe Haven serves individuals and families affected by substance use disorders across 13 counties in Southern Indiana. Through peer recovery coaching, recovery housing, and connections to vital social services, they provide practical help, lasting support, and a pathway toward hope.

We've had the privilege of partnering with Safe Haven on several occasions, most recently helping produce their inaugural Masquerade Ball Gala and providing production and music for their 3rd Annual Celebrate Orange County Recovery event. As always, we brought the party—but more importantly, we helped tell a story. Through music, worship, and celebration, we joined them in declaring loudly that recovery is possible and that every life has value.

We first met Brittany during the Summer of Recovery Tour a few years ago. From the beginning, she had a vision for using events not simply to gather people, but to inspire hope, build community, and expand the impact of recovery work. Since then, we've partnered together multiple times each year, and it has become one of our most meaningful collaborations.

Another person we're grateful to know is Vicki Axsom.

Vicki leads the Off Drug Support Group in Columbus, Indiana, where she serves people facing addiction, mental health challenges, and a host of life's difficulties. Around town, everyone knows her as "Aunt Vicki." If someone is struggling, needs encouragement, or simply has nowhere else to turn, she's often the first person people call.

Every year, we bring a team to support their annual picnic—a day dedicated to celebrating recovery, honoring comeback stories, and reminding people that they are seen, loved, and valued. This year, we led live worship and brought a DJ to keep the celebration going, but the real highlight was watching people reconnect with hope and community.

Brittany and Vicki are two of the many people we've met while pursuing our calling to amplify hope, multiply impact, and mobilize disciple-makers. Over the last several years, that calling has taken us across Indiana and deep into the recovery community. We’ve witnessed stories of heartbreak transformed into healing, and we've formed friendships that we deeply cherish.

Music, events, and media may be the tools we use, but changed lives are the true outcome we're pursuing. Whenever we have the opportunity to come alongside people who are doing the hard work of helping others find hope, healing, and purpose, we're honored to partner with them.

This month, we simply wanted to tell you about two people we love dearly and deeply admire. We're proud to stand beside them as they serve their communities and help others discover that their story isn't over.

And none of this happens without you.

Your prayers, encouragement, and financial partnership make every mile, every event, every conversation, and every story possible. When we head out to serve, you're right there with us on the front lines.

Thank you for helping us amplify hope together.
