Delanie cd cover idea

Last month Two Eight Ministries had an opportunity to be a part of an incredible event to help a friend in need. I graduated with Brittani Overton-Carlton in 1998 from Jay County High School. Brittani's youngest daughter Delani has Neuroblastoma, a rare form of cancer that almost always affects young children. Already in this past month, Delani has endured countless tests, a painful bone marrow biopsy, medications, blood work and blood transfusion. She is incredibly brave and has fought cancer like a hero. Our class of 1998 decided to throw a 19 year reunion to help raise funds for Delani. The event ended up raising over $7,000 for medical expenses.

While we were preparing for this event I decided I wanted to write a song that shared the hope of Christ with Delani and her family but how do you find hope in the midst of a story like this? I spent hours with the Lord that week and felt like the message of this song is what He spoke to me. It's called "Keep Your Eyes On Me" and Jillian and I dedicated it to Delani and her family to help raise awareness/funds and keep hope alive in the midst of this difficult season. One of my long time best friends Aric Hartvig (now a PBS producer) shot and edited this short video to match the song.
